Introduction
March 29th and 30th, Alacra held its first Alacra Hack-A-Thon. The development group was split into three teams and each team was given a project to complete by 11:00 tomorrow morning.
In an incredibly close competition, The TECHNO TRAILBLAZERS (aka Team Lipshtat) edged out The MELLOW MARAUDERS (aka Team Tharaken) and The SYNDICATE (aka Team Bruni) to take the 2007 Alacra Cup. The TECHNO TRAILBLAZERS developed a working prototype of an email request service for end-users and information professionals to request and fulfill premium content requests through Alacra. The service, which will take several weeks to bring to production, will help end-users get the information the need in a timely fashion and will significantly enhance the cost recovery efforts of our customers.
