I had lunch with a client at Bobby Van's Grill on Broad Street, Friday at 1:00. The place was pretty empty, usually you need a reservation for Friday lunch.
Saturday mid-afternoon I walked through Zabar's. The store wasn't empty but there were no lines at the cashiers.
Sunday morning I passed by H&H bagels. On some days the lines will be out the door. Yesterday there were only a couple of people inside. $1.40 is a lot of a bagel...even if it's the best bagel.
Paul Kedrosky reports that traffic is down noticeably on Southern California Freeways.
Anyone have anything similar to report?
