Boston Consulting Group recently published a set of slides called Investment Banking and Capital Markets - Market Report - Fourth Quarter 2006. Although everyone already knows that 2006 was an amazing year for the investment banking industry, the BCG slides are helpful and informative in the way they tell the story. The revenue and profit charts seen here give a 30,000 foot view, but specific slides covering Private Equity's share of M&A Activity, Growth in Hedge Funds, Credit Derivatives and Global Bond Issuance are each revealing. Alacra does a significant amount of business with investment banks of all sizes, and we haven't seen any signs of a slowdown in Q1 2007.
