Alacra content partner World-Check recently published a comprehensive white paper entitled: Reputation Damage: The Price Riggs Paid. It begins, "Riggs is a story about the price paid when an Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") compliance program lacks proper oversight by management and the board of directors." In retrospect, the list of Riggs offenses is almost comical. But it's this list of offenses that are driving strict regulation and enforcement and are causing headaches for compliance officers worldwide.
