Three things hit my desktop in the past two days that outline and emphasize the importance of Web 2.0. I only received the Executive Summary, but Kate Worlock and Majied Robinson of EPS LTD have written what looks to be an interesting focus report called Do You Believe In Web 2.0? The report covers the basic Web 2.0 technologies and a handful of case studies. EPS generally does excellent work; their report is priced at £350.00. There's a new white paper out from Rod Boothby at Innovation Creators called The Next Wave in Productivity Tools - Web Office. What's great about this white paper is that it explains the Web 2.0 phenomenon from the point of view of June 2006 MBA graduates. Given many of Alacra's customers are in the MBA and undergraduate (analyst) hiring phase now, I strongly recommend looking this paper over if you're not familar with Web 2.0 tools. Finally there is Business 2.0/CNN article called The Next Net 25, which highlights 25 relatively new companies offering some interesting Web 2.0 services. Veteran blogger Om Malik is one of the authors.
