Biography
Steve Goldstein and Mike Angle started Data Downlink Corporation in July of 1996. The name of the company was changed to Alacra in June 2001. Don Roll joined the company in July of 1997 as Managing Director for Europe. Steve, Mike, Don (who have worked together on and off for over 20 years) and a handful of other Alacra-ites are refugees from Knight-Ridder's Business Information Services division which at one time included Dialog, Knight-Ridder Financial, Technimetrics and The Journal of Commerce.
Alacra provides a variety of information services to financial institutions and professional service firms.
Interests
This blog is interested in all issues in the business information space, including search, new content, desktop applications, venture funding, M&A and the role of information professionals.
